Today is October 18th, 2009.
The Wilson Family witnessed God's beautiful miracle of life today when we saw our beautiful grandson Connor Wilson Womack weighing 8 pounds, 19 3/4 inches come into this world at 8:56 a.m. Our daughter Lauren went into pre-labor on the 17th at 3:30 am. She has been staying with us. We weren't sure if what she was experiencing was water breakage of bladder release. My mother and I decided to take her to the ER of Memorial Hermann at 12:30 pm. After the triage nurse checked her and discovered her water had ruptured, they admitted her. Lauren was so strong through the entire process. She had spent 9 months fearing so many things, the birth and being a mom. Like a true Wilson she stepped up to the plate and showed everyone what strength and heart are made of as she pushed this 8 pound baby into the world. It didn't end there, the motherly intent she wasn't sure she had, kicked in in full force for her little man Connor. He will not face this world alone, with Lauren as his mother he will always be safe and secure. As I did today when I stood hand in hand with my daughter during her delivery. I was so honored to be there with her, she showed even me what strength is about. Today, I witnessed not only the miracle of life but God's amazing grace has filled my heart on so many levels. Over the last year, I have learned so much about myself, God, my children and forgiveness. I know I have a long road to be where I should be in this thing. But our focus will be to remain a safe place for our daughter and grandson to come. A place of love and honor.
Welcome our little man into this world. As we prayed all these months for you, we also prayed today that the sweet Lord keep you and mommie safe and protect you. We pray that one day you will show us all what a strong Christian, God following man you are.
We love you Connor and Lauren. Thank you Dr. Reed for being the outstanding woman/doctor you are, you not only assisted in bringing Connor into this world. But your amazing hands helped our sweet friends Jason and Jaime.
